WSSI has been providing comprehensive environmental engineering services throughout Virginia for the Virginia Community College System under three consecutively awarded Indefinite Delivery contracts for stormwater services and other environmental engineering and geotechnical services.

MS4 SWM Compliance, Multiple Facilities

Assisted with the MS4 SWM program, including the preparation of SWM Permit registration statements, development of the six required MCMs, mapping of stormwater outfalls, educational materials for public outreach, SWM outfall monitoring programs for illicit discharge detection, assessment of existing stormwater structures, evaluation of LID techniques, development of TMDL Chesapeake Bay and Local Action Plans, assistance with TMDL Action Plan Implementation, Annual Reporting, and training of staff on MS4 compliance.

MS4, SPCC, Pollution Prevention Training

Provided annual MS4 training, SPCC training, Underground Storage Tank (UST) Operator training, and pollution prevention training at VCCS facilities state-wide.

Standards and Specifications Preparation and Plan Review

Provided updated E&S and SWM Annual Standards and Specifications based on new regulations, which established how VCCS would conduct land disturbance to ensure compliance with the Chesapeake Bay Preservation Area Designation and Management Regulations, E&S law and regulations, E&S and SWM certification regulations, Virginia SWM law and regulations, and the General Permit for Discharges of Stormwater from construction activities.

SWM and E&S Plan Review

Provided nearly 100 SWM and E&S plan reviews for construction projects at VCCS schools. SWM and E&S plans were reviewed to evaluate conformance with the VCCS Annual Standards and state standards, regulations, and laws.
